HOW TO KEEP
YOU’RE HEALING
“I disagree with you,” the lady protested. “If Jesus heals a person I believe that they can never lose it.”
“Congratulations,” I answered, “You know something Jesus didn’t know! Because He said to one of the men He healed, sin no more lest anything worse befall you. He obviously thought you can lose your healing.”
He actually warned that a person’s condition can become ‘worse.’
It is not enough to get healed. You need to know how to keep your healing.
ATTEND TO GOD’S WORD
“My son.
attend to my words;
Incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes;
Keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they are life unto those who find them ,
And health to all their flesh.”
Proverbs 4: 20-22
The margin of Proverbs 4:22 says, ”… medicine to all of their flesh.”
Notice first that God’s word is His medicine and secondly that He emphasizes that it is medicine to our ‘flesh’ not to our spirit.
Medicine can do you no good if you don’t take it.
The problem many believers are sick is they are not ‘taking their medicine.’
At least half of the believers I’ve met could not quote one promise of healing from the Bible my memory. How do they expect to pray in faith?
Believers are very quick to give their opinion when someone is sick, but, all I’m interested in is: “What does God’s Word say.”
1 WE MUST ATTEND TO GOD’S WORD.
A doctor’s appointment won’t help you if you do not attend it.
The word ‘attend’ means “to give total attention to’’ or “To give it your undivided attention.”

2 WE MUST INCLINE OUR EARS
To incline means to: “ lean towards” or to “open our ears to.”
Who are you listening to?
“Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” (Romans 10:17).
If you want a miracle you must shut out every other voice. You must reject every contradictory opinion.

3 WE MUST NOT LET GOD’S WORD DEPART FROM OUR EYES
The Psalmist wrote, ”Thy Word have I hidden in my heart.” (Psalm 119:11). This is the secret of long life, health and victory.
WHERE MUST WE LOOK? WE MUST LOOK TO GOD’S WORD
4 WE MUST KEEP THE WORD
Never let go of the promises of God’s Word and the provisions of Calvary. Healing is both a promise and a provision. It is God’s promise to every child and a past tense provision of Calvary. Chriat has already bore your sicknesses. Healing is already yours!
WHAT MUST WE HOLD ONTO? WE MUST HOLD ONTO GOD’S WORD
“for they are life.” The very life of God! To those who find them. Sadly too few are looking. Then they blame god when they become sick or die prematurely.

WHAT MUST WE LISTEN TO? WE MUST WE LISTEN TO GOD’S WORD
WHERE MUST WE LOOK? WE MUST LOOK TO GOD’S WORD
WHAT MUST WE HOLD ONTO? WE MUST HOLD ONTO GOD’S WORD
BE PREPARED FOR A COUNTER ATTACK
This is not a negative confession – it’s just a fact of life. However, if you do not realize this – you can start thinking something has gone wrong or you were not healed when satan launches a counter attack.
A man came to me and said, “I thought I was healed in your meeting, but I obviously was not. I had been deaf for over thirty years and suddenly I heard. I could hear perfectly for 8 months, but, then I could not hear anymore.”
I answered, “If you could not hear for thirty years and suddenly you could hear; you were obviously healed. The problem is - you lost your healing.”
Just because you got healed does not mean the devil will just walk away in defeat.
He is lost, he is fallen, he is hell bound … but, he is not stupid!
It is not that he has anything against you personally. His battle is to make the word of God appear unreliable to discredit God’s Name. He cannot stop Christ dying to provide your inheritance, but, He will try to fight to stop you entering into it.
We live in a battle zone. You have got to stand your ground!
As I often say:
SOMEONE IS GOING TO GIVE UP FIRST.
EITHER YOU ARE GOING TO GIVE UP
OR THE DEVIL IS GOING TO GIVE UP.
HE WONT GIVE UP UNTIL
HE KNOWS THAT YOU WONT GIVE UP.
BUT, WHEN HE KNOWS THAT YOU WONT GIVE UP,
HE WILL GIVE UP AND LOOK FOR SOMEONE EASIER TO MESS WITH.
Let the enemy know that you won’t give up.
Many people, by their words, give the devil the information that he is succeeding. He would be stupid to give up the pressure under such circumstances. For example, they say to their husband, “I can’t take much more of this. If things don’t change I’m going to divorce you.” It is like saying, “Devil keep the pressure on, your attack is working.”
The devil cannot read your mind – he only knows what you tell him.
COMPLAINING IS GIVING A TESTIMONY FOR THE DEVIL.
It is as if the devil sticks his finger in your back. You go ‘’ouch.’’ Now he whispers in your ear, “See you weren’t healed.” Now you have a choice. Either you are going to say:
1 “Yes, maybe I wasn’t healed”
or
2 “Get behind me satan – By Christ’s stripes I am healed!”
If you get into doubt, unbelief and negative speaking, you’re over onto devil’s territory and then he has a right to take it from you. Refuse to speak words of doubt and unbeleive. Confess the Word only.
CONFESS ONLY GOD’S WORD
If a counter attack comes, confess the Word:
“He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.” (Matthew 8:17)
Jesus took my infirmities. Therefore healing is mine. The devil has no right to put on me what Jesus bore fro me!!!
“By His stripes I am healed.”” (1 Peter 2:24)
“God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil. (Acts 10:27)
“God’s Word says sickness is oppression of the devil and Jesus healed all. Therefore healing is mine!”
Jesus said you will have whatever you say. So if you do not want it don’t say it.
When Fedex come to my home with as parcel I have to sign for it. After I have done so it’s out of their hands. Negative speaking is signing for whatever you say. It is granting permission for the devil to put it on you.
We must carefully maintain our confession. The word ‘confession’ simply means “to say the same thing.” We must say what God says and keep saying it until it becomes our experience.
When God wanted to give Abraham a son He changed his name so Abraham continually confessed “I am the father of multitudes.” He confessed it over and over until it became his experience.
WHAT YOU SAY AND BELEIVING WILL COME TO PASS.
The big difference between ‘belief and faith is that ‘belief’is internal (for the Bible says with the heart man believes)faith is external.
Faith is what I say and do because of what I believe.
How do I prove or show what I believe? By what I say and do.
DO NOT GIVE THE DEVIL A PLACE
God is just and He is even just with the devil!
The devil cannot just walk up and rob the believer. First he must get you over onto his territory – where he has a right to rob you and God has no right to stop him.
How do I close the door on the devil?
The devil has rights on his territory. So, you must “Resist the devil and he will flee.”
REJECT FEAR!
Fear is the main door the enemy uses to rob the believer.
REJECT DOUBT!
• You must know sickness is not God’s will for you
• You must know it is an attack from satan
• You must know God wants you well
• You must know Christ has bore your sicknesses
• You must know Healing is yours
You must know with an assurance that healing is already yours as surely as 2 + 2 = 4
REJECT UNBELIEF!
‘Salvation’ is a Bible word incorporating all of the redemptive acts of God including forgiveness, healing, deliverance, protection and provision.
This shows that believing is not enough.
SO, CONFESSION IS A PART OF CONFESSION.
This is why many miss there healing.
In my services I almost always give an opportunity for those healed to testify.
I ask, “How many of you know that you received your healing when I prayed.”
Many hands are usually raised.
Then I ask people to come forward and to testify. This is when many healings are lost.
The devil whispers in your ear, “Don’t testify, what if your healing doesn’t last.””
Then he says, “”It is a good job you didn’t testify.”
Woman: “Really by His stripes I am healed.”
1 Through Salvation.
God has no right to protect you until you give your life to Him. Surrender your life to Him today.
2 Through Consecration.
Stay of the devils territory. As Jesus put it, “Sin no more lest anything worse befall you.”
3 Through knowing the Word.
Jesus defeated satan the tempter by confessing “It is written … it is written … it is written.”
4 Through Faith Confession.
Confess the word and the devil will flee.
5 Through the Blood
There is protection through the blood of Jesus! Claim the protection of the blood.
“They overcame him (satan) by the blood of the Lamb and he ord of their testimony ...”
PRAYER OF SALVATION
If you have never received Christ pray this prayer right now:
“Dear Lord Jesus, thank You that You died for me. You took the punishment for my sins so I could be forgiven, Forgive me now. Save me now. I believe that You died and rose again and that You save me right now in Jesus’ Name, Amen. Thank You Lord I am saved, I am Yours, You are mine forever.”
If you prayed that prayer and meant it you are saved. Welcome into God’s family.
